Christina and Theo came in from Detroit to get hitched downtown at City Hall. Both wore black sunglasses. Christina looked stunning in her dress and gorgeous leather jacket, and Theo being effortless cool in his perfectly tailored black suit. We chatted, laughed, and lingered as we slowly headed to the marriage court. After tying the knot, we walked to The Smith for drinks and oyster shots. We then took the Blue Line to Logan Square, getting a little lost on our way over. We made a pitstop at a BBQ joint, and the cheerful owner brought them drinks on the house and encouraged Christina to do a bouquet toss. These are my favorite type of days in Chicago. When the city feels like a small town, ending up at everyone's favorite spot, Lula Cafe, for a cozy dinner with family.
